Methylcobalamin injections are available in a variety of strengths. The most common strengths are 10mg/ml and 12.5mg/ml Methyl-B12. The 10mg/ml Injections are commonly used for fatigue conditions, methylation, etc. The dose can vary greatly depending on what it is being used to treat but generally a common dose would be 0.1-0.2ml (1-2mg) injected subcutaneously each day.
These injections must be stored in the fridge and protected from light so best wrap them in aluminium foil. They are stable for 3 months if stored in these conditions. If exposed to bright light they are stable for only a few hours. We courier them out overnight packed in an esky with ice.
Some of our patients are now using the needle-free injector for painless Methyl-B12 injections.
