Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is a phospholipid that serves as a major component of the cell membrane. It is essential for normal cellular membrane composition and repair. It is found in higher concentrations in younger people, particularly in brain tissue, and, as a normal part of the aging process, the amount of PC in the cell membrane decreases, which is an important aging process. By taking supplemental PC, you can reverse the age-related decline of PC in your cell membranes and keep it at a youthful level. It assists the liver with detoxification and is used in cases of serious liver disease such as cirrhosis. Studies have found that PC improves the action of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter. Dosage: 400 to 1600mg per day. Daily amount can be divided and taken throughout the day. It is equally effective when taken with or without food. Our laboratory produces 100mg/ml PC liquid utilising highly purified PC. It comes in a 100ml bottle and contains PC dissolved in extra virgin olive oil in order to maximise absorption.
